Are these real cases?

Yes. Every case is built from a Real or Legend file on a real, unsolved case, and every exhibit links to its source. The witnesses are composite characters who only say what the public record shows.

Is there a right answer?

These cases are officially unsolved, so no one knows for certain. Your report is scored on how well your theory fits the evidence, the same way the file weighs each theory.

Why don't the cases name a culprit?

Because no one was ever proven guilty. The game is about what the evidence shows, not about accusing real people.
