Internet time travelers from 2027, 2062 and 2075: what they claimed

What the posts claim

Since 2010, a handful of anonymous posters have used Japanese message boards, Twitter and TikTok to claim they had traveled back from the future. Three cases keep resurfacing: a TikTok account describing a depopulated 2027, a 2010 message-board post tied to the year 2062, and two separate claims tied to the year 2075. Each combines specific, checkable predictions with a personal story that cannot be verified, the same pattern seen in other self-described time travelers such as John Titor.

2027: a TikTok account depicting an empty world

In February 2021, a TikTok account called unicosobreviviente began posting videos of deserted streets, malls and landmarks in Valencia, Spain. The user, who gives only the first name Javier, says he is broadcasting from the year 2027, after humanity has disappeared. According to Newsweek, the account grew to roughly 1.3 million followers, and its videos have drawn a combined 7 million likes, with the first video alone viewed more than 7 million times.

Newsweek pointed to an obvious problem with the premise, quoting a widely shared comment on the videos: "If he's posting then he's in our present time." The outlet also noted a similar account, @2029man, whose predictions about early 2021 had "already proven to be untrue." As of September 2026, several months before 2027 begins, the streets Javier shows as already empty are not, and nothing resembling a global disappearance has happened.

2062: a message-board post tied to a real earthquake

On November 14, 2010, someone posted on the Japanese board 2channel: "I came from the future (2062), any questions?" Among the replies was a garbled string of characters that some readers later decoded as a warning to climb the mountain. When the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami struck on March 11, 2011, some readers connected the two, and the story took off, according to the magazine webMu and the site TOCANA.

Both outlets give reasons for doubt. TOCANA reports that the decoded warning cannot be reliably derived from the original garbled text, making it a speculative reading rather than a clear prediction, and that the original poster was followed by numerous imitators after 2011. webMu adds that someone using the same name later opened a paid website in 2016 offering messages and audio recordings, which cooled public interest rather than building it.

2075: two different claims, two failed dates

The year 2075 has been claimed by at least two separate posters. In September 2015, someone on 2channel described dreaming fifty years into the future and dying at 80 in the year 2075; among the specific claims was a Tokai earthquake on June 23, 2018. According to TOCANA, that earthquake did not happen, and the site advises readers to take such predictions "with significant skepticism," since time-traveler predictions "almost never come true."

A second claim came from a Twitter account called YJ, which appeared on January 3, 2018 and posted for only a few days. YJ predicted that a satellite would fall over Shimane Prefecture on May 2, 2018, that Japan's capital would move to Okayama, and that North Korea would cease to exist. According to the Japanese site ATLAS, an internal poll of the account's own readers found 65 percent did not believe the claims, and the outlet concluded the account was likely a joke.

How the stories spread

All three cases spread the same way: a striking claim posted to a public forum, then amplified by other users who screenshot, translate and debate it long after the original poster goes quiet. A separate Chinese-language poster known as KFK, filed elsewhere on Real or Legend, later claimed contact with figures matching both the 2062 and the 2075 Twitter accounts, showing how these stories cross over between platforms and languages rather than staying contained to one.

What happened when the dates arrived

Every specific, dated prediction among the three cases that has come due has failed. The Tokai earthquake the 2075 message-board poster described for June 2018 did not occur; the satellite YJ said would fall over Shimane in May 2018 did not fall, and Japan's capital is still Tokyo. The 2062 case has no single failed date attached to it, but its one celebrated hit, the 2011 tsunami warning, rests on a decoding that critics call speculative rather than a clear forecast made in advance.

The 2027 claim cannot be fully closed out yet, since the year it describes has not arrived. Its premise is already strained, though: the TikTok account keeps posting from what it calls an empty 2027, while, as of September 2026, the real cities it shows are still full of people.

Verdict

None of the three time travelers has ever been identified, and none of their specific, dated predictions is known to have come true. Two of the three, the 2075 earthquake and satellite claims, are already years past their deadlines and simply did not happen. The 2062 case survives mainly on one contested decoding rather than a clean advance prediction, and the 2027 account is still waiting on a deadline that is only months away and already looks impossible to meet. Real or Legend records these predictions as not having happened.
